I've been invited by some good local pilots. We'll fly with the locals around Manali and Bir Billing in Northern India.
Soaring the Himalayas.Majestic mountains, terraced hill sides, alpine forests plus Paragliding World Cup sites.

USD:1250.00. Transportation, Accomodation, Guide Service,Retrival.

Trip begins in New Dehli.

We'll have a land rover with local drivers and stay in lodges, some times in tents, guided by local instructors. Don't miss out.

Located at the base of Mauna Kea, Hawaii at 7200 feet Pu'u Loa makes for one of the best paragliding and hang gliding training sites in the State of Hawaii or anywhere else I can think of
in terms of conditions, terrain and beauty. This site turns a student into a complete mountain pilot in very short order. Conditions are usally calm in the morning and then build to strong with great xc potential. Our club has permission to use several hundred acres of pristine wilderness flying sites.

The drive from Hilo to the S. W. launch on Mauna Kea takes about 3 hours followed by a 30 minute hike from 11000 t0 11500 f. A flight to Kona from launch would be 60 miles. The Hawaiian State record is 29 miles. The longest flight from this site has been 15 miles but flights of 100 miles should be possible.
Bring everything you need for high altitude xc flying.
Fee: 125.00 includes 4wd transportation, guide service, retrival and membership in the Big Island Soaring Assoc. USHGA membership is required.

About Pueo The Protector
The Short-eared Brown Owl (Asio flammeus sandwicensis), also known as the Hawaiian Owl, or Pueo was present in Hawaii from before the arrival of the first Polynesians. Like everywhere else in the world, Hawaii gave the Owl a special place in its mythology. Pueo is sacred. Pueo doesn't signify only an Owl, but also denotes a taro variety, the staff of life. In addition it indicates shortness, the shroud of a canoe and the rocking of a child. Then there are expressions that use the word "pueo", such as "keiki a ka pueo" (child of an Owl whose father is not known), "ka pueo Kani Kaua" (the Owl who sings of war, the Owl as a protector in battle), "A no lani, a no honua" (the guardian Owl belongs to heaven and earth).
